The Elpida Program at Annunciation Cathedral is a vibrant faith formation ministry designed for children from Kindergarten through High School. Rooted in the Greek word elpida, meaning hope, our mission is to nurture a living faith in Christ while building meaningful relationships within our parish community.

Elpida brings children of all ages together to learn about Christ through hands-on, engaging experiences that inspire curiosity, compassion, and connection. Rather than learning in isolation, our students grow together through collaborative activities, service projects, and faith-centered lessons that help them understand how Orthodox Christianity is lived in everyday life.

Throughout the year, Elpida hosts retreats, service opportunities, and special events that bring not only our children together, but our entire parish family. These moments create space for fellowship, mentorship, and the formation of lifelong friendships grounded in faith.

At its heart, Elpida is about community—children supporting one another, families growing together, and our parish walking the journey of faith side by side. We believe that when young people experience Christ through service, fellowship, and shared learning, their faith becomes something joyful, meaningful, and lasting.
